General Questions

To make an appointment please call (03) 8288 1350. Please let us know if you would need a longer appointment with the doctor or nurse. Please present your Medicare Card to the reception upon arrival to check in. Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to notify you of any unforeseen delays to your treatment.

This practice is committed to providing quality care and service.

As part of this we have a policy to protect your privacy that complies with relevant privacy legislation.
Our privacy policy advises:

  • That we need your consent to collect information about you.
  • That you can request access to the information we hold about you.
  • That you may discuss any concerns that you may have about how we handle your information with your doctor or practice staff.
  • How you can obtain information about any possible breaches of privacy

Ask your doctor or see our reception staff if you would like more information about privacy policy or how to access information from your health record

For request of scripts/referrals without consultation, it will only be supplied upon doctor’s discretion. Patients will need to put in request in writing minimum 2 days prior to pick up date. One of our staff will contact you if the doctor is happy to do so and will let you know when it is available for pick up.

Our practice is committed to providing you with the best preventative care possible. Practice staff will seek your permission to be included on our reminder system and may issue you with a reminder notice via mail on occasion. If you do not wish to be a part of this system, please inform your doctor or any staff.

For follow up of test results; our staff/doctors will let you know approximately when your results will be back so you can make an appointment. Our staff may also contact you to let you know if the doctor has requested to see you.  All urgent results will be followed up with the patient directly ASAP.

If you find yourself requiring urgent medical care after hours, please dial “000” for an ambulance. For any other medical needs after hours, there are several after hours deputising medical services available in the area.please dial 134-100

Please be aware that we communicate via email with individual patient only if you have provided written consent to us and upon your request as we cannot ensure your privacy. We cannot offer consultations over email no discuss treatment plans or results. you may email mount medical clinic for any other questions you may have
